High School Musical 2 made is debut on Aug 17 2007 and achieved a record breaking 17.24 million viewers

Nielsen Media Research said this figure is an all time record number of viewers for the preceeding 3 mont period and was the most watched cable telecast in history!

Disney’s High School Musical 2 was pretty good entertainment - a bit formulated, but a good family night movie.

Disney is already planning High School Musical 3 for next year and replayed the show over the weekend with the lyrics on the bottom for the songs, so the kids could sing along with the musical numbers.

They have a great chance of another hit with the third movie, as long as they can keep the catchy tunes, and great dance numbers.

You can also now rent or buy the DVD released version of the movie.
