Top 100 Programs on Broadcast and Cable/Satellite TV

Cable and/or Satellite networks scored with seven shows in the top 100 for the key adults 18-49 demographic, although none placed in the top 50. The best performer was WWE Entertainment on USA at #64.

This data is based on Nielsen Galaxy Explorer estimates for combined broadcast and cable numbers and is for Ad-Supported Subscription television only.

With cable and satellite TV providers

DirecTV Group Inc., gained 460,000 net subscribers
Dish posted a net loss of 94,000 subscribers in the quarter, even though it actually added 653,000 subscribers, due to cancellations, signal theft and increased competition. Dish now has 13.6 million subscribers nationwide.
Time Warner Cable Inc., AT&T Inc. and Verizon Communications Inc. also gained customers.
Comcast is using its digital cable TV technology, to deliver bvalue added features such as video on demand, HDTV, and interactive TV. Digital TV technology also supports a Digital Video Recorder. Comcast also provides a high speed Internet (at five times the speed of DSL) and home phone services.
